The Staff at Colbury House have been supportive during a difficult time moving my Grandmother into Colbury House. The home is clean and they are very organised with medicine rounds and other routines. My grandmother likes the food and this has been a good aspect. The staff are also very accommodating and have taken her to medical appointments to help us. They also have a great entertainment schedule for the residents. I would recommend Colbury House.

My mum has dementia and has been very happy since she moved into Colbury House last year. She settled very quickly and got on well with all of the staff. The home has two fantastic activities staff and they organise lots of things for the residents to do, mostly in the home, but sometimes taking them out in the minibus. We are kept informed if there are any issues, such as mum being ill and we feel happy that mum is safe and being well looked after.

My Mother has been a resident at Colbury House since December. She has settled well and I have peace of mind that she's safe and well looked after. My Mother loves all the staff and enjoys all the activities.

My dad has been living at Colbury House for about 4 months now. He has Parkinson's and dementia. I did lots of research of care homes in Hampshire and made a shortlist for us to visit. I liked that my dad was the customer (rather than me) when we visited. It was important to my dad that he was able to get outdoors (some places have beautiful grounds but residents with dementia don't tend to be allowed outside much due to staffing). My dad communicated this to the staff member we met and they assured him this would be possible. They kept their word! After a few weeks, they accompanied Dad on daily trips outside. They have since assessed him and he is now out daily by himself. Because he feels safe and staff communicate with him, he seems contented within the grounds. It did take about 4 weeks for Dad to settle. A few months on, I receive calls when anything occurs (I've stopped phoning to see how things are going). Staff are warm/established/caring. Great entertainment. Long may it continue.

From the moment my husband entered Colbury House in December 2023, I felt he was loved and cared for. Such a warm homely feeling. I was very anxious and apprehensive when I realised I could no longer give him the care he needed. I’ll never forget a member of staff saying to me “We are all one big family here”, so true. Everyone there works 100% to make life the best it can be for residents, both inside and out, the grounds are beautiful and give residents plenty of outside space to enjoy. Although it was hard to be parted after a lifetime together I felt as though ‘we’ were among friends. The staff and indeed the owner have my eternal thanks.

My father has Alzheimer’s and after many months of trying to look after him myself, I realised that I was kidding myself so Colbury House was my choice of care home. The professionalism they showed right from the beginning was unsurpassed, the wonderful carers that have transformed my father and put a smile back on his face. The whole experience was flawless and very professional, the home is spotless, the staff are wonderful and the communication was exemplary. My father is safe, warm, well fed and happy and so is my family. Thanks to everyone at Colbury House for the wonderful way you go about your jobs, our family owes you all a huge thank you for all you do.

What a beautiful, caring home, where the staff are wonderful, the grounds lovely, and activities are engaging. My wife has settled better than I could have hoped. We could not have wished for a better placement. Thank you everyone.
